Hello everyone,

Welcome to this week's WNIE newsletter.

Pre global pandemic, at this time of the year, industry would currently be gearing up for tradeshows, a way of showcasing new products and services as well as participating in those all important networking opportunities that perhaps in hindsight we all took for granted.

Looking ahead, it's encouraging to note that in its list of measures on dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic, Germany has taken the step to segment ‘mass gatherings’, explicitly highlighting out tradeshows and exhibitions as types of events that can be allowed again, so perhaps these essential gatherings can be held once again sooner than we perhaps envisaged.

We await news of how other countries negotiate this dilemma; globally the exhibition sector generates €68.7 ($81.1) billion in direct GDP and contributes a total economic impact of €275 ($325) billion so finding a safe solution to continuing these events is vital.

Until events resume, please don't forget to send us your updates and announcements and we will help you get those messages to industry, via the WNIE Online website, this newsletter, and of course our social media channels. Email your updates to kirsty@wnie.co.uk!

Keep safe and best regards,
